Senior Backend Java Engineer (Automotive Industry)

Key responsibilites

• Design and implement scalable and robust backend services and systems in Java for automotive applications.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to integrate systems and enhance user experiences.
• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Ensure the best possible performance and quality of applications.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in Java backend development, in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Proficient in German (B2 level) with strong communication skills.
• Extensive experience with Java, Java EE, and Java-based frameworks like Spring.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and team-working skills.
