Ruby/Java Software Developer

As a Software Developer in Monri Payments, you will:

• Work on the development of applications in the field of payment/fintech and high-volume transaction systems
• Develop and deliver robust, scalable, highly available, and secure applications using the newest and highest security standards and cryptography.
• Write and maintain product documentation related to the assigned product modules
• Promote knowledge sharing and innovations by providing education, mentoring, updating the knowledge base, documenting gained knowledge and experience, and sharing knowledge using verbal communication.
• Work on maintenance of existing functionalities
• Work in teams of experts designing and developing fintech and security solutions used by more than 6000 merchants worldwide.
• Work using up-to-date development processes (Agile, CI/CD, Secure Development, GIT, JIRA, etc.) and modern IDEs (JetBrains)
• Be part of a young and agile team of developers, business analysts, and DevOps

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, information technologies, or related preferred but not mandatory
• 3+ years of experience with compiled languages (preferably Java)
• 3+ years of experience with interpreted languages (preferably Ruby)
• 3+ years of Experience in a web framework (preferably Spring Boot/Quarkus/Ruby on Rails)
• Experience with RESTful web service
• Experience with application servers (i.e. JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat) and relational databases (i.e. PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
• Experience with build tools, preferably in the Java ecosystem (i.e. Maven, Gradle)
• Strong experience with unit/integration testing
• Drive for achievement against internal or external standards of excellence

What will make you stand out:

• Experience with reactive programming (preferably Mutiny)
• Experience with Sidekiq/Apache Kafka or similar MQ systems
• Experience with Apache Camel
• Knowledge of continuous integration concepts (i.e. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems (Linux, MacOS)
