We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Media Innovation & Strategy to lead our Innovation & Optimization department in pushing the boundaries of digital advertising and staying ahead of the competition. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the performance marketing landscape and a strong focus on emerging traffic sources, media buying automation, and strategic testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to explore and test new traffic sources, emerging ad platforms, and innovative media channels to keep the agency ahead of industry trends.
Oversee Media Automation: Spearhead automation efforts in media buying processes, ensuring that proprietary tools and scripts are developed to optimize bidding, budget allocation, and campaign management at scale.
Research & Development (R&D): Manage and guide the R&D team in discovering and testing new ad platforms to ensure the agency can offer clients cutting-edge solutions.
Media Buying Optimization: Lead a team focused on optimizing media buying strategies and tactics for operational media buying. Develop and implement techniques to enhance key performance metrics (CPA, ROI, CTR), and collaborate with the operational media buying team to apply successful strategies. Ensure continuous A/B testing and data-driven insights are used to improve current media buying efforts.
Client & Niche Launch and Testing: Manage a dedicated team responsible for launching new clients and testing new niches. Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns for clients entering new markets, ensuring that all efforts are effectively tested, measured, and optimized for success.
Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the CMO and other senior stakeholders to align media innovation strategies with the company’s broader business objectives and client goals.
Team Leadership: Oversee the management of specialized teams, including R&D, Media Automation, Media Buying Optimization, and New Client Launch & Testing. Inspire and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Partnerships and Tools: Identify and manage relationships with media buying platforms, ad tech vendors, and other partners to support innovation and automation efforts. Evaluate third-party tools and technologies that can enhance the team’s capabilities.
