Quality Assurance Lead

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• People Management & Development: Lead and mentor QA Engineers in MoP, set professional development goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on QA processes, support the integration of QA into DevOps workflows, and ensure alignment with project and organizational objectives.
• Innovation & Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance QA efficiency, promote adoption of new technologies, and lead continuous improvement programs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Establish and maintain documentation standards, standardize quality metrics, and report on QA performance.
• Vendor & Tool Management: Manage relationships with QA tool vendors and ensure proper tool utilization.
• Strategic Planning & Capacity Management: Collaborate on project allocation and ensure optimal team deployment to meet project goals.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS AS A QA LEAD:

• Conduct a technical assessment of current testing practices and automation state
• Review existing QA processes and documentation
• Complete team skills assessment
• Meet key stakeholders to understand requirements and pain points

• Create a process optimization strategy incorporating AI tools
• Develop automation adoption roadmap
• Plan resource allocation and training needs
• Define implementation timelines and success metrics

• Establish a performance evaluation framework
• Launch a professional development program
• Implement goal-setting and tracking systems
• Begin executing automation and process improvement initiatives

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive experience in quality assurance, test automation, and performance/security testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, QA tools, AI tools, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in continuous testing practices, DevOps processes, and CI/CD implementation.
• Familiarity with security testing principles and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/ML applications in QA.
• Proven experience leading QA teams in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills for developing technical teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and strategic planning in QA processes.
• Experience in client focus, risk management, stakeholder management, and financial oversight.
• Ability to establish and track quality metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
