Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks
• Implement and manage test automation frameworks
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to ensure software quality

• Design and execute manual test cases as needed
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
• Perform performance testing to identify and address potential bottlenecks

• Establish and enforce testing best practices and standards
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance testing efficiency
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software development engineer in a test or similar role
• 3-5 years of experience

• Strong technical expertise in test automation and manual testing

• Proficiency: Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Shell)
• Manual Testing: Solid understanding of manual testing techniques and methodologies
• Development Skills: Basic programming skills to develop and maintain test scripts

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Defect Identification: Ability to identify, document, and track defects effectively

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
