Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

What would be your day-to-day responsibilities, you ask?

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and microservices deployed on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in working with cloud providers; Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP is a plus.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to optimize the deployment and performance of applications in the cloud.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code following best practices and design patterns.
• Implement and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Ensure robust testing and monitoring strategies for cloud-based solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Python development and cloud technologies.
• Assist the recruitment team in performing technical interviews.

Ideal profile - What are we looking for?

• 6+ years of experience in Python development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and more.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other engineering teams.
